IDEMIA develops the identity technology used at airports, border crossings and in public security systems around the world. Its products are technical by nature, while the readers of its corporate magazine and media center are often not engineers.
The task was to turn technical documentation into visual guides people can follow. Each infographic starts from a real process, such as a passenger moving through an airport or a citizen proving their identity, and shows it step by step.
The visual language is isometric 2D vector illustration: detailed enough to show real airport layouts and equipment, and simple enough to read at a glance. Every piece follows IDEMIA's brand standards, so the series works as one system across the magazine, the website and social channels, in static and animated versions.
The hardest part came before any drawing: understanding each technology well enough to show it correctly. Since 2019, the collaboration has grown to more than 50 infographic projects across several IDEMIA departments.
